That's right. We're back home again. We brought a load from Tyndall Air Force Base over here to Nellis AFB in Las Vegas. So while Jorge is over there making the delivery this morning, I'm getting caught up on some much needed updating of this little travel journal. The winter was pretty slow work-wise but things have definitely picked up for us and we've been busy, busy, busy. Not too busy to stop and make a few visits to friends and family along the way though. In just the past two weeks we've gone from Louisiana up to west Texas, to Oklahoma up to New Jersey, and down to Maryland to get a load that we delivered in northern Michigan. We were lucky enough to get another load out of northern Michigan that we delivered to Panama City Beach, Florida and then from there out here to Las Vegas. As we just make big circles around the country we often say things like, 'Hey, we were just here a few days ago.'
As we're driving around the country we're also slipping in and out of different seasons. We woke up to temps of 39 in northern Michigan last week. This week it was 100+ as we moved across Texas. I think we can safely drop off some winter clothes though while we're here in Vegas. We're overloaded with winter coats and gear and are looking forward to reclaiming a little more real estate in the truck once we sort thru all the clothes we have in there right now. So that's one thing on my agenda today. Also a trip to the groomer for Rocky is in his immediate future. It's good to get some errands run while we have access to our car. Meanwhile, we wait and see what trip comes up for us next. It's usually kind of hard to get moving from this area and we normally welcome the time off. With no more danger of snow to worry about, we're hoping the work continues to stay steady and we continue with the back to back loads we've been doing lately.
