Our Vegas mini-vacation is over and it's back to work for us. I'm just glad we were able to stay home for a few days and get things taken care of in preparation for the big switch in companies. We left Sunday night and headed here to Fontana where we had an early Monday morning appointment for that satellite installation. What a big job that turned out to be! It took several hours to complete- all the while the guy who was doing the job was complaining about how hard it was to put it on. He didn't instill much confidence in his abilities but after he was done and we checked it out, the thing was working just fine. So we now have that up on top of the truck while inside we have a keyboard device that we'll use to communicate with the office. They'll send us messages and information about loads or other things and we use it to them know the load has been picked up and delivered. That was the final step for us to do and we are now ready to go to work. All we need now is a load. That didn't happen today but we're hoping Wednesday should bring us our first trip. We have alot to learn but I suspect after some time it will all become rather routine. After all we've invested in leasing on to work for this company - between all the new tarps we bought that are custom fit for jet engines and the $3000 Qualquamm satellite among many other things- it's time for the income to exceed the outgo! Wish us luck and pray it all goes well. We wait to see what tomorrow brings...
