We have spent the past couple days taking a break from a very busy week last week. Since I last updated this journal, we have covered over 7100 miles from coast to coast. From destinations in Utah to California, to North Carolina, to Ohio, to Michigan, back to Ohio, to Florida... Whew! No wonder we took a couple days off! In addition to driving, we've had opportunities to visit friends and family along the way. We made one stop in Toledo to visit my Uncle Milt. In northern Kentucky, we were treated to my birthday dinner by my daughter, Mandy. Another day we stopped in Florida for an evening catching up with my sister Linda and her family. While in Florida, it worked out perfectly that our friends Don and Dale were home from their travels so we enjoyed a nice visit with them too. So we've been mixing business with pleasure. Now back to work!
We are taking a load from Coolidge, Georgia up to Nazareth, Pennsylvania over the weekend. We came from snow down to Florida and I suspect we'll be getting back into up there. Now that we're starting March, I can almost start breathing regular again and maybe quit worrying about the weather along our routes. Our plan is to work real hard from now until the start of next winter so we can take more time off next year. We'll see how that plan works out for us.
