From Naples to St. Louis to Norfolk and now to Tulsa… in a week.Welcome to my world!Normally we get back to work on Sunday nights but this show, ‘Legally Blonde’, is loading up tonight- Saturday- here in Norfolk. We will be in Tulsa on Monday. After looking at the weather map, we decided to take the southern route thru Tennessee to avoid as much cold and snow as we can.The next couple weeks we won’t be moving too much as we’ll be staying with this show and waiting for it while it plays in three different cities -starting with Tulsa. That is going to give Jorge the opportunity to go visit his mom for several days while she starts her follow-up radiation treatments. Thankfully she has recovered nicely from the colon cancer surgery she had in November. Rocky and I will try to carry on without him – even doing a little run by ourselves next weekend.Good thing I have friends willing to help me back up if I need it.It should be interesting, for sure.
What a difference a day makes! Just the day before Jorge took this picture of me and Rocky on a snowy St. Louis morning, we had been enjoying the much nicer weather of south Florida.
Necessity is the mother of invention! Jorge made dinner on New Year's Eve but the bottle of wine didn't fit in our little refrigerator. Then Jorge had this brainstorm. By the way, we weren't driving that night.
Combining a love of travel and history, not to mention the need to work and fund those travels~ we found the perfect solution to satisfy our wanderlust ~ as over-the-road truck drivers. The nomadic lifestyle is surely not for everyone but it has worked well for us for several years. It has taken us to countless places we would never have gone and we've met many friends along the way. Join us, Jorge and Rhonda ~and Rocky, the trucker dog ~ in our adventures on our perpetual, mobile camping trip...
