We started out yesterday from Oklahoma City in the sunshine so we chose the scenic route for the first half of the trip. We drove down a part of the old Route 66 north of Oklahoma City. It was very pretty but I sure could never live anywhere with that red dirt on everything. We came across the little town of Arcadia which we learned was famous for their big, old, red, round barn. It’s an Oklahoma landmark that’s over 100 years old and was built round with the thinking that it would better survive the Oklahoma tornados. Obviously they were right. We stopped to take this picture of it.
