It was a very nice week in Tampa. We did squeeze in that visit with my sister Linda in Seminole and met her for dinner at a local Irish pub. We spent the rest of our week visiting with friends. For three days Don and Dale hosted us at their home near Tampa. Two other couples were also there so we had eight people and our six spoiled dogs. It was hectic at times but fun all the time. We sure know how to cook and eat when we get this group together. Steaks on the grill one night and Jorge’s tacos and beans the next night kept us full while his salsa was a big hit at all the meals. It was a good week out of the truck though.
We left Tampa for Charlotte where we picked up a show called ‘Spring Awakening’. Our destination was Rochester, NY the next day. We managed to get a signal for the satellite tv in downtown Charlotte and watched the entire Superbowl just in time for our trailer to get loaded. With the weekend snows having just come thru the mid-Atlantic, we weren’t sure what to expect the roads to look like thru West Virginia and western Pennsylvania. They were remarkably clean and we felt like we really dodged another bullet weather-wise, arriving in Rochester exactly twelve hours later. That’s another trip in the books and we are moving on to Boston, only 350 miles away, for the next weekend. Looks like more snow coming this week but let it snow- we don’t have a thing to do til Sunday except find a good place to eat a New York pizza. We love this job!

This is what most of our trip looked like. Lots of snow but none on the roads...beautiful. The picture above is our friend, Don~ truck driver extrodinaire and his loveable dog, Gizmo. The only dog who could possibly be more spoiled than Rocky.
