I spoke too soon or counted my chickens before they hatched, so to speak. Our days of winter driving were not over. I picked Jorge up at the Denver airport and other than a couple hours delay in his flight, his trip went pretty smooth. We drove about 100 miles north to Cheyenne, WY where we decided to spend the night and drive across Wyoming during the day. That was a good decision. I woke up this morning to snow flurries but I thought that wouldn’t be a problem for driving~ and it wasn’t for awhile. Not too far west of Cheyenne there are some pretty high mountain passes and it was more than flurries up there. I prefer to drive thru snowy weather myself rather than watch Jorge do it but I was really glad to have Jorge back in the truck when the windshield wipers decided to blow a fuse while I was driving thru these snowy passes. He was able to quickly change the fuse and get the wipers working again and we didn’t even have to stop on the side of the road. Fifty miles of snowy weather and we were pretty much out of the woods on that situation. Sunshine prevailed the rest of the trip.
We arrived in Salt Lake City in time to get to our favorite taco stand for dinner. It was about six years ago to the day when we finished up our truck driver training here in this city and so we’d spent a little time here before. The taco stand was a cheap favorite meal for us in past visits. We have worked for two other companies before joining our current company, Clark Transfer, and both of those companies were based out of Salt Lake. We went thru both orientations here and now come back again as seasoned truck drivers, in my humble opinion. In our estimation, we must have at least a million miles under our belts at this point.
Next stop on our agenda is San Diego. We leave Sunday night and will deliver ‘Legally Blonde’ on Monday night. We’re considering a run to Las Vegas with our time off this week.

Driving down the I-80, there is a freaky statue of Abraham Lincoln that just gazes down on the interstate from it's high perch near Laramie, WY. It is very odd looking as it's just a huge head and little shoulders sitting on a bunch of rocks.
There were many accidents thru that snowy stretch of road thru Wyoming. This was just one we saw on the way. The mountain photo is near Salt Lake City. There are so many pretty pictures of the Wasatch mountain range to be taken in this area of the country.
