It won’t be long until the overwhelming job of getting things together for the tax season is upon us. Right now I have this great plan, possibly my new year’s resolution, to not wait until the last minute – for a change. Let’s see where I’m at with that next month at this time. Right now I’m facing a mountain of receipts to sort through. This is the down side of being owner-operators. If I were a company driver I’d simply get my W-2 form and could plug the numbers into the computer and do my own taxes. Being business owners requires much more organization than that. Organization is generally not one of my strong points.
With the new year, I made a few slight changes in the appearance and layout of my journal. I write this blog mostly to prompt my memory so I can see and remember all the places we have been. Without it, I would likely forget much of it. It also serves to let my friends and family know where we’ve been or where we’re going and by the numbers, I see that there is quite a bit of interest in our travels. Thanks for reading and cruising along with us as we start of another year God’s continued blessings on us and our chosen career of being over-the-road truck drivers.
