After Phoenix, we had to be in LA but decided to run up to Las Vegas and pick up the mail and run some errands, etc… We ended up spending five days there this week. I’m beginning to look like a prune for all the time I’ve spent in the pool. My little niece Emma was there and provided entertainment for us on a few days. She’ll be three next month and has become quite a little talker. Most of it is understandable, some of it – not so much. It was a fun time but we’re back on the road now.
Today we are in Los Angeles, California. We pick up a show tonight called ‘Les Miserables’ and will be delivering it tomorrow afternoon in Portland, Oregon. After that hot week in Vegas, we are so looking forward to the cooler northern temps up there.
This trip marks the end of an era for us with Clark Transfer. We’ve hauled shows around the country with them for over four years but this week we will be ‘switching gears’, so to speak. After much deliberation, we’ve decided to change to another company and will doing something completely different. We bought our own flatbed trailer this week and will be driving over to Kansas City to pick it up. Then on to Louisville, Kentucky where we will go thru a couple days of orientation with a company called Mercer Transportation. They move a lot of stuff for the military as well as any other thing one can carry on a flatbed trailer. Like I said – it’s all new to us. So stand by for news and wish us luck on our new venture!
Here's a video of little Emma explaining what her daddy does for a living.
