It's been a busy weekend. We picked up a trailer in Miami and hustled it up to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. We just wanted to get rid of it since we don't normally pull flatbed trailers and the company had several of them that needed to go up there. We thought we were going to Orlando next but changes happened on our way there. Our dispatcher called us and sent us right back down to Miami again instead. We picked up another flatbed there and now we're on our way back to Pennsylvania. We're wearing a rut in I-95 going back and forth this week. It's not one of my favorite rides anyway because it doesn't matter what state or what part of that interstate you are on, it is busy and congested. Add in the rainstorms we're getting and it can be treacherous. And don't even get me started on the bad driving skills of all the other drivers! At the risk of sounding like a real truck driver, those 'four-wheelers' are a real hazard to us 'professionals'.
Things will settle down this weekend with a trip from Durham, NC to Cincinnati. We'll get to go by our storage trailer and drop off some winter things in exchange for warmer weather gear. It's still too early to leave the snow chains behind as we see a trip to Seattle on our schedule in a couple weeks.
