Fresh off our self-imposed sabbatical from trucking and writing this blog, it’s time to get caught up. We always have our finger on the pulse as we’re usually all up to speed on all the latest news stories. I also like to be right on top of my email correspondence which I’ve neglected. Facebook has been an afterthought, at best. We were home for exactly three weeks, the longest we’ve ever been out of the truck in the nearly eight years since we began our life on the road. I guess we can say that is long enough. We are officially out of the loop! As much fun as we had while in Las Vegas, we were ready to follow our noses as we hit the road for our next set of adventures. We did that on Tuesday when we picked up a load in Southern California and are now on our way to the Cincinnati area to deliver it Saturday morning. Along the way, we get to play Santa Claus and drop off Christmas gifts for Danny since he ended up not making the trip to Vegas due to a knee injury. Mandy accidently left her coat in Las Vegas and as it turns out, we’re delivering this load about 20 miles from her house and bringing her coat to her is a good excuse to stop and visit again. I’m going to post a few pictures from the past weeks and get caught up on this travel journal (sparing you those pictures of our colonoscopies that my brother, Steve, taped to the refrig in time for Thanksgiving dinner!) as we get back into trucking mode once again...
