We arrived in Schenectady just in time for the 4th of July fireworks. We took a little walk around the block to the movie theater around the corner where Jorge ran in a got some popcorn. We walked with it back to the theater we would be delivering at the next morning, and sat there watching fireworks in the porch swing that was set up at the loading docks. The next day after our trailer was unloaded, we headed down to New York City. It was just a simple short move from the Metropolitan Opera House at the Lincoln Center where we picked up equipment from the American Ballet and took it just across the Hudson River to their warehouse in New Jersey. We’ll be doing that same thing again this Saturday. This time we plan to get there early so we can explore parts of New York City. We want to take advantage of our time down there as there is so much to see.
This weekend has us back with Mamma Mia again and we’ll be Florida bound and back to the hot southern summer heat.
Below is a video of Jorge’s excellent work backing the big truck into the loading dock at the Met in New York City while angry drivers do their best to get around him. Thank goodness he can do this so I don’t have to!
